Our Mission

Since 2014, Think Local Military has been on a mission to create unique “With Love From Home” products, spotlight inspiring military family stories, and partner with others to support active duty service members and their families.

For our military families, Kelly hosts Kelly's Briefing Room, a mastery class for career military significant others and wives. Our mission continues to provide trusted support of Family First, Clarity and Peace of Mind.

Who We Are

At Think Local Military, our mission is simple: to honor and support our service members and their families. Since 2014, we’ve focused on strengthening our military community while sharing gratitude for those who serve.

Our Co-Founder, Kelly, hosts a mastery group for career military wives, focusing on protecting what you have already built and planning for an even brighter future! Kelly's Briefing Room mastery group gathers monthly online and Kelly offers office hours. This group provides practical tools to prepare, protect, prosper and plan as they connect, share stories, and support one another. Click here for more details.

Visit our social accounts for a healthy dose of patriotism! Through encouraging military and patriotic photos, we celebrate our military, praising the sacrifices made on the front lines and the home front.

We proudly provide:

  • Locate unique products for service members, families, and customers to add to their care packages!

Every year, a portion of our product sales supports organizations that uplift troops and their families. Past contributions have gone to Tunnel to Towers and Troopathon. We are proud to support Operation 300 and the USO.

Our Why

As a family with deep military roots, we understand the importance of coming together to support those who serve and their loved ones. From our founders—Kelly Sturmthal, an attorney, military wife, and mom, and Lt. Col. Jeff Sturmthal, USAF (Ret.), a former F-4, F-5, and F-16 pilot—and their next generation of an aeronautical engineer and an aerospace engineer and Air Force officer - their mission is rooted in appreciation, gratitude and support.

We also honor the memory of Jeff's father, Col. Emil “Ted” Sturmthal, USAF test pilot, and Kelly's father, Jerry L. Hough, Army reservist.
